This is gonna be a great set of chains for you, especially since we don't have to make any of our connections on the back because we don't have a whole lot of clearance with the Civic. more

Many people recommend cable chains or chains with rollers because they're a lot more low profile. I prefer chains that have links because those are easier to attach, but these definitely are on the smaller side. How's it going It's Ethan, here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install these Titan diamond-patterned snow tire chains on our 2016 Honda Pilot. Diamond-style patterned chains, like the ones we have here, are just going to give you more coverage on a tire. They're going to give you a smoother ride, and they're going to be better at handling turns, than say, your ladder-pattern style, which is just going to be better for starting and stopping. These links are a little bit smaller, just to give you, again, that smoother ride, but they do still have that square shape, which is going to give you that bite, and tonight, a nice bite in the snow and ice, and in general, just a better grip. The links themselves are constructed of a manganese-nickel alloy, which is going to give you a nice corrosion and rust and weather resistance. more

These are Ladder-Style tire chains, which basically means that the chains go parallel across the tire and they are Roller tire chains as well. So Ladder-Style tire chains are good for starting and stopping. These Rollers are probably specifically going to be used for light snow and sort of just like emergency case usage. We definitely wouldn't recommend these in any sort of ice or heavy snow conditions. more

These chains are a diamond pattern which gives you a smoother ride, better for turns and just, in general, more overall coverage on your tire. The links themselves are square links, which are going to do a better job at biting into light ice and snow, just because they do have that rough edge, that's going to dig in. So these are probably gonna be the best budget tire chains where you still have a premium features that you would see on let's say, the Konig self-tensioning chains but at an affordable price. So if you want something that's a good all around chain for no matter what type of weather you have, this would be a good choice for you. If you're expecting a lot and a lot of ice, though, I do recommend taking a look at our beefier tire chains that have cleats or studs in them. These chains are ranged in a diamond pattern and there's usually two types of tire chains. Ladder style chains that have a babump babump as you go on the road or diamond pattern chains which cover a bit more of your tire. more

Colin: Hey everyone, it's Colin here at etrailer and today we have a 2019 Honda CRV and we're going to do a test fit of the Koenig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains. Now keep in mind, we're working with tire size 235/60 R18. Now with these Koenig chains, these are kind of similar to the top of the line chains that you're going to be able to find out there. They really wanted to go out of their way and make sure that you had a set of chains to where you had to put very little effort forth to be able to get them installed in any inclement weather situation. You don't have to lay down behind the tire, make any connections, or even with some of those others self-tensioning snow tire chains that are out there, you still have to slide them behind and sometimes that means you have to kneel down in the snow or the mud and be able to get the chains behind the tire.With these, you can do everything from this squatting position like I'm in right here, but it does come with a kneeling mat. So if you wanted to kneel down on the snow like this, just slap them on, ratchet them down, you'll be good to go. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2018 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2018 Honda CRV, we're going to be taking a look at and show you how to install Konig's Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains. Keep in mind, we will be installing these on tire size 235/60/18's.These are going to be a diamond cutter design which is going to give you more tire coverage than your standard ladder pattern or D-pattern. What's going to set these apart from other similar chains is, number one, these are going to be self-tensioning. You put them on and you leave them alone. As you drive, they're going to tighten up on their own. Two, the diamond pattern on these, each diamond pattern or each diamond section, is going to have two steel plates which is going to add more traction. more

Today on our 2018 Honda CR-V, we're going to be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install Glacier Chains, Glacier VTrak Cable Snow Tire Chains. Keep in mind we'll be installing these on a tire size 235 60 18. This is what our chains look like when they're installed. You can see here we've install these on the front tires of the vehicle because this is the front wheel drive vehicle. What's nice about these chains is they're going to be a V pattern design and they're going to have case hardened steel rollers over cables. These are going to give you more tire coverage then your standard ladder pattern design. more

Titan Cable Snow Tire Chain Installation - 2015 Honda Accord- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Honda Accord we're going to be looking at Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire chains, and that's Part Number TC1034. These tire chains are in compliance with SAE Class S requirements which basically just means that they've got a low profile design so they'll fit well in wheel wells with limited clearance, and it's not going to cause any interference.These chains feature a ladder pattern with a steel roller design which makes it effective for starting and stopping in light snow and ice. These chains are going to best for occasional use such as for an emergency or just to be compliant with the local laws.To install these chains we're first going to unroll them and inspect them to make sure there's no breaks in the chains or anything that would compromise the integrity of the chains. When we unroll them we're going to make sure that our end hooks are facing the front of the car.For our Honda Accord we're going to only install them on the front two tires. When we lay out our chains we want to make sure that these cross hooks are facing up so that they don't do any damage to our tires. There is an imprinted mark on the back that says tire side, so be sure that is facing down.To install these chains it's always a good idea to wear gloves so you don't scrape up your hands. more
